Across the two days of action-packed riding, you will get the chance to explore superb riding country. Arriving at the riding centre at 10.00am, you are given a suitable mount. After a short journey down the lane, you will cross a shallow river, heading towards the sandy beach. Depending on the tide, you could either be riding along the shoreline, where you have the option for long canters or riding across the sand dunes, steadily climbing to the vantage point, where impressive views can be seen in all directions. Looking South lies the wide Bristol Channel, dotted by shadows of lonely ships homeward bound or heading out to the empty expanse of the Atlantic. Slumbering on the other side is the Northern shore of Somerset and Devon as it tapers west to disappear in the distant blue.
These two full day rides will cover 10-12 hours in the saddle, giving the rider the opportunity to experience a variety of scenery and terrain, from river crossings, sand dunes, sandy beaches and open common-land – ideal for long canters. This is every horse lovers dream…
