Whoever might think that nature is silent in winter, has never crossed it. It sings, it rushes and whispers, when the wind brushes against the bizarre, ice covered tree tops, sounding as if carried by wind chimes. Your horse is like a steam train crutching through fresh-fallen snow that sparkled like diamonds, snorting over the beauty of this snow covered landscape, and when your eyes catch sight of the red and crimson sun-set, then desires get fulfilled and your dreams come true..
Snow Ride - Austria
Celebrate our 7th year of riding in a Christmas card, with a truly magical ride across snow-covered landscapes and through sweet smelling pine forests which trees branches are laden with snow. Icicles hang from buildings and trees representing wind chimes, and as the sun shines millions of diamonds seem to sparkle in the snow, this will put the icing on your Christmas.
This friendly family run business boasts comfortable accomadation with en-suite bedrooms in a traditional Austrian style. Also a Sauna and licensed bar. The stables are on site, so no travelling. Just get up, tack up and off you go, under the care of your guide.
Half board accommodation is offered, with continental style breakfast and a three coures evening meal everyday.
Wednesday 25th Jan - Leaving Coventry at 2.00am arriving at Stansted airport for 5.00am approx to check in. (Please note: Baggage allowance is 15KG and 10KG Hand Luggage) alternatively we can meet you at the airport 5.00am. The plane departs at 6.45am, for our 1 hour 30Min flight to Austria. Greeted at the airport, for our transfer to the hotel.
A traditional Austrian welcome and thick Goulash soup will be given on arrival, then the allocating of rooms and allowing you chance to take in the magnificent scenery.
For those who are keen and not tired, an introductory ride in the area (approx 2 hours) can be arranged for those who want to - at an extra cost, arriving back in time for your evening three course meal and late bar to discuss your riding ability and what the holiday entitles, answering any queries.

Thursday 26th Jan - Full of energy and ready for the days ride. Breakfast will be available from 8.00am onwards, it is possible to help tack up the horses, or be at to the stables for 10.00am to meet your horse and ride out 10.30am.
we ride out Via Narntal to Bad Zell after stopping at 'Bauernfeind' we make our way via Teichwirt back to the accommodation.
Arriving back at the hotel, having chance to shower and change, ready for your evening meal. Late Bar available.

Friday 27th Jan - After filling up at breakfast, We ride through the central high country of the Muehiviertier/Alm with its spacious forests, meadows and fields via Ruttenstein to Moenchsdorf, where at 'Rameder Hotel' our host Herbert will ensure best care for the horse and rider.
After lunch the bridle path leads us to Gunters 'Harry's Pub' where we stay for a few drinks until night fall. Providing all riders with glow sticks to travel home in, following the lights. 'an unforgettable experience.'
Arriving back for our later evening meal.
Friday 17th Feb - After breakfast, we ride through the central high country of the Muehiviertier/Alm with its spacious forests, meadows and fields via Ruttenstein to Moenchsdorf, where at 'Rameder Hotel' our host Herbert will ensure best care for the horse and rider.
After lunch the bridle path leads us to the ranch.
Arriving back, you will have chance to shower and get your fancy dress party gear on as after dinner we will be heading down to Rockasitz celebrations - that will carry on to the early hours.

Saturday 28th Jan - After breakfast, riding out via Koenigswiesen to Haid to continue - after enjoying a refreshing lunch and an encouraging drink, we ride over to Klamleiten back to our stables.
Arriving back, you will have chance to shower and get your party gear on as after dinner we will be heading down to Gunter's for his 60th and his wife Ginny's 40th double birthday celebrations - that will carry on to the early hours.
Saturday 19th Feb - After a later breakfast, we will be going on a day sleigh ride at 10.30am, heading over to Han's stables through the forestry to Mosla/Alm stopping for lunch, this is an ideal occasion to take photos with the horses. Afterwards stopping off at the 'Rameder Hotel' for a schnapps with our friend Herbert. Then continuing on through to the stables. Enjoying your three course dinner, then taking a short walk down the road to participant in a game of curling.

Sunday 29th Jan - After a later breakfast, we will be going on a day sleigh ride at 10.30am, heading over to Han's stables through the forestry to Mosla/Alm stopping for lunch, this is an ideal occasion to take photos with the horses. Afterwards stopping off at the 'Rameder Hotel' for a schnapps with our friend Herbert. Then continuing on through to the stables. Enjoying your three course dinner, then taking a short walk down the road to participant in a game of curling.
Sunday 20th Feb - After breakfast, riding out via Koenigswiesen to Haid where all the surrounding riding clubs are heading, this is a fancy dress ride with special celebrations at Maria's. After enjoying a refreshing lunch and an encouraging drink, we ride over to Gunter's 'Harry's Pub' for a short drink then back to our stables.
Having our last three course evening meal then packing your bags and enjoying one last drink and sing-song before heading home tomorrow.

What we do today are memories for tomorrow, good or bad, we will never forget our holidays in 'Winter Wonderland Austria' Time to take your last few photographs, say goodbye to your trusted friend. and depart from the hotel at 10.30am to catch the flight back to Stansted, arriving in Coventry approx 6.00pm.
